By purchasing any item, you have agreed to the exclusive terms and conditions governing the sales between the Customer and (also referred to as MICA Lighting and MICA United).

  1. Orders
    1. All orders placed through this web site are subject to confirmation and acceptance by

We reserve the right to change prices without notice due to the nature of the Lighting industry. reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders, whether or not the order has been confirmed and payment made. If payment has been made for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we will notify you immediately and refund the amount paid. We will inform you as soon as possible of any changes in prices, or cancellation of orders.
  2. Prices
    1. For all Australian orders, all of our prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST (Goods and services tax)
      For each online order, you must pay:  
      1. The applicable price for the relevant goods confirmed by;
      2. The delivery and handling fee specified on the website at that time.
    2. For all Non-Australian (International) orders, all of our prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and exclude GST (Goods and services tax). Once you have proceeded to the checkout and entered your country selection, the totals will be automatically adjusted to reflect this.
      For each online order, you must pay:  
      1. The applicable price for the relevant goods confirmed by
      2. The delivery and handling fee specified on the website at that time.
      3. For larger than normal items, you may be contacted after your purchase for an adjustment to the postage price.
      4. (If applicable) any customs duties and taxes applicable to your countries law. These fees will be charged to you via your countries authorities once you receive the item. You (the purchaser) must check the regulations about duties and taxes within your country prior to your purchase. This is the purchasers responsibility, and not grounds for cancellations nor returns.

  4. Delivery & Shipping
    1. For Delivery Times, please see our Delivery Times Page.  Please use these as a guide only.
    2. We will do our best to deliver your order promptly. Once funds have cleared, most items will be dispatched the following business day. This does not apply to custom built items, nor items supplied by a third party vendor.
    3. Orders will be delivered to the address specified by you.
    4. Deliveries will be made to you by our contracted delivery drivers.
    5. Mica Lighting will assume no liability for any late delivery. In addition, this does not constitute a return nor a refund.
    6. All orders delivered through our preferred couriers, includes insurance cover up to the total value of your order, when you have opted for transit cover.  This is at an additional charge to your order.
    7. Missing or damaged goods while in transit, will be processed according to the terms and conditions of the courier company, when you have purchased transit insurance. Claims will only be recognised within 24hrs of the delivery.
    8. If you are not available for collecting your item at the time of delivery, you will be liable (if charged by the Courier) to pay any additional fees associated with your parcel being sent out any consecutive times.
    9. Some items carry special delivery conditions, as these items may require assembly and testing.  This will be noted in the item description.
  5. Availability
    1. Every effort will be made to satisfy your order. If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will notify you at the earliest convenience.
    2. In this instance, your order will be placed on back order.
    3. We strongly recommend, that you always contact us before placing your order, if you have an availability concern, or on a deadline.
  6. Pictures & Product Descriptions:
    1. Pictures are for illustrative purposes only.
    2. Whilst every effort is made to make product descriptions as accurate as possible, errors may unintentionally occur.
    3. Various computers and preset screen resolutions, may cause product mis-representations. This may be caused by the angle the photo was taken, the camera flash, etc.
    4. If your purchase is of a very specific nature, and you require clarification on any item specifications, please contact our office before making your purchase.
    5. Product photos depict an "as displayed" product. Some assembly may be required to complete your light fitting. This may be in the way of dressing chandeliers with crystals / glass, attaching and connecting components, and the like.
  7. Payment Details
    1. MICA Lighting requires that all purchases are to be paid in full within 3 days of sale.
    2. If payment is not received within this period, you shall be notified via email. If no response is received within 24hrs, your unpaid order will be automatically cancelled.
    3. We accept the following methods of payment: Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard), Direct Bank Deposits and Mica Lighting Store Vouchers.
    4. When paying by Direct Deposit, please use your order number as the payment reference. If for some reason this is not possible, email us the branch name and branch number (BSB), date and amount paid. This will ensure that we are able to dispatch your order promptly.
    5. Credit Vouchers will be valid for use for 1 year from the date of issue, and after such time it will be invalid. You should use all of the entire voucher value before the expiry date, after the expiry date unused value will become the property of Mica Lighting.
    6. Credit Vouchers can only be used against a product purchase.
    7. Credit Vouchers cannot be used to pay for services, such as delivery, repairs or the like.
    8. Cash on Delivery (C.O.D) is not a payment option.
    9. Full Payment Instructions will be provided to you in the checkout.
    10. Payment must be cleared before any goods are dispatched.
  8. Secure Credit Card Payments & Refunds
    1. For security reasons we do not keep your credit card details on record.
    2. Once your transaction has been completed, we do not have access to your credit card information. This is strictly regulated by the banking authorities.
    3. If a refund is required, this will be processed by means in which the payment was originally taken.
    4. Your credit card details are safe and secure. All credit card information is encoded using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, an encryption protocol that protects data as it travels over the Internet.
    5. There are times, where we may have to contact you to verify you as the card holder.
  9. Order Cancellation Claims & Warranties
    1. Individual product warranties are noted within each product description, and apply from the date of purchase.
    2. Advertised warranty periods, relate to domestic installations, unless the product was selected from our commercial range of products. In this case, the advertised warranty period shall apply.
    3. Where a non-commercial product is used in a commercial or retail environment (i.e. not domestic environment), the warranty period is a maximum of 3 months.
    4. Warranty on LED Globes are specified in the item description. Warranty on any other Globes is Nil, unless found to be DOA (Dead On Arrival).
    5. All warranties are void, if NOT installed by a licensed electrician.
    6. Any items returned for warranty, must be accompanied by:
      1. An Approval Letter supplied by
      2. Original proof of purchase, and
      3. A report from the licensed installer (on letter head), explaining the fault.
    7. While all care is taken in the packaging and postage of your order,  breakages and loss via transit may occur.  If transit insurance cover has been taken by the customer,  then replacements will be sent in due course.  Breakages or loss do not constitute a refund, only a replacement.
    8. Postage fees are non refundable.
    9. For any items that are either "Damaged in Transit", "Dead on Arrival" or "Missing From Your Order" you must contact us within 7 calendar days of remittance. These items will be replaced as soon as the necessary procedures have been adopted.
    10. The warranty coverage period begins from the date of purchase. Please refer to the product description for the specifics of all warranty periods as they differ from product to product. If no warranty period is specified then the item is sold as is.
    11. For any item(s) purchased from anyone other than an authorised reseller, the warranty cover is null and void.
    12. All events such as physical damage, abuse, misuse, unauthorised repair or tampering with a product may prevent a product from being accepted as a fault under warranty.
    13. If a registered service is not used, and/or we do not receive the returned item, then we will assume no responsibility for the loss.
    14. Items that are deemed faulty within the warranty period can be returned to Mica Lighting using a postal return voucher that will be issued to you.
    15. Any electrical costs incurred to remove or re-install the faulty items will not be covered by Mica Lighting.  Mica Lighting warranties cover the product only.
    16. All items constructed from natural materials such as concrete, glass or timber, may feature the following characteristics:  bubbles, slight lines, pin dots, cut edges, slightly off centre.  There may also be slight variances in size of +/- 5mm between stock. These are not considered defects.  Mica Lighting will not recognise or accept any unreasonable claim relating to the unique characteristics of these hand made products.
    17. If you wish to cancel your order prior to dispatch, you will receive a refund less 20%, or a store voucher less 10% of the full amount paid. In addition, any surcharges that applied will also be deducted from the refund. This is to cover administration, handling and bank fees.
    18. It may take up to 10 business days to process your return after we receive your item.
    19. We reserve the right to charge you to collect the goods and to charge you for any damage that may have occurred whilst the goods have been in your possession.
    20. We reserve the right to charge you to store your items in our warehouse at $20 per calendar day. This charge may be waived at the discretion of Mica Lighting.
    21. Once the returned item is tested, if found to be not faulty, you will be required to pay for all postage costs incurred (both ways), before we re-dispatch the items.
    22. Where the goods are listed as "Sale no Return", "Clearance" or the like, then these items cannot be returned, nor a credit or exchange issued under any circumstance, unless deemed faulty.
    23. If you have ordered an item that requires assembly or customisation, or mentioned as a special order item (this will be noted as special delivery conditions apply), these orders cannot be cancelled, returned nor refunded.
  10. Price Beat Guarantee.
    1. Our Best Price Guarantee, must be read subject to these terms and conditions.
    2. To be eligible for the Best Price Guarantee, all required fields in the Price Beat Guarantee form must be completed.
    3. The competitors identical product, must be of identical quality, design and specifications.
    4. The identical product must be at a lower price, including all additional fees (eg. Taxes, postage, handling charges, etc.).
    5. Our Best Price Guarantee does not apply, where:
      1. the lower price is conditional, or where the price is determined after an allowance of a certain amount is applied (eg. rebates, finance promotions, cash back offer, free or bonus offer, trade discount, stock clearance, or any limited quantity promotion); or
      2. the lower price is below our cost price; or
      3. the lower price is not available to the general public; or
      4. the identical product is advertised as a parallel import, fire or liquidation sales, and clearance outlets; or
      5. the lower price has been discounted by the competitor by use of coupons, loyalty rewards, and other offers or incentives to reduce the total cost; or
      6. the lower price has been discounted by the competitor on the basis that the product is a display stock only, end of line, ex demo, limited quantity, clearance, second hand or similar; or
      7. the lower price is the result of an error by the competitor; or
      8. is unable to verify, using reasonable means, that the lower price or the advertised product is available for purchase.
    6. Our Best Price Guarantee may be terminated or amended at any time without notice.
    7. Our Best Price Guarantee is subject to you complying with the usual terms and conditions of trade.
  11. Return Policy.
    1. Our return policy is governed by the terms and conditions set forth herein and is applicable to item(s) being returned due to a change of mind purchase, purchase made in error, item purchased and no longer required, or similar.
    2. To qualify for our return policy, the following conditions must be met:
      1. The customer must request a return within the specified timeframe.
      2. The returned item(s) must be in their original condition.
      3. If a "free shipping" promotion was applied to the original purchase, the shipping cost that would have been charged will be deducted from the credit.
      4. The customer is responsible for any return shipping charges. Should the customer not pay the return shipping (for any reason), the one-way charge will be doubled.
      5. Credits issued for returned items under our return policy will be provided in the form of a Mica Lighting voucher, valid for 12 months from the date of issuance.
    3. Our return policy does not apply in the following cases:
      1. The item was sold as clearance, non-returnable sale, special order, custom-cut cable, or similar;
      2. The returned item is not in its original condition.
    4. We reserve the right to amend or terminate our return policy at any time without prior notice.

    1. shall not be liable to the Customer, or to any other person whomsoever, for any loss or damage whatsoever or howsoever caused arising directly or directly in connection with the Products, other than expressly imposed by statute in terms of which it is not possible to limit or exclude liability.

    1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
